Mrs Katu

Last week Pt England lost one of our teachers who passed away. Mrs Katu had been teaching at Pt England School for a very long time. Over the years she had helped to teach lots of us to read and touched the hearts and lives of many.
Mrs Nua asked the Year 7's to write 3 or 4 words or sentences that they thought best described Mrs Katu and we put them in to the following Wordle.

Hi Everyone,
I was very sad to hear that Mrs Katu had passed away. She was a student teacher in my class at Glenbrae while she was training to be a teacher. Even then, she was very caring and wanted the best for all the students she taught. I think your 'Wordle' describes her exactly.
Kia kaha Pt England. My thoughts are with you all.

What a lovely idea Room 20. You have managed to capture Mrs Katu's characteristics and personality beautifully. My word to add to all of those is 'Loyal' because Mrs Katu was a very loyal friend and colleague and I will miss her.
